We are looking for a talented Electronic System Product Engineer (Telematics Engineer) to join our team in Seoul Office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support OEM engineering team to develop interfaces to communicate with Cummins engine control module and cloud based on Cummins SDK and APIs

  • Validate OEM’s telematics module and cloud by performing end-to-end test.

  • Lead communication between OEM engineer and integration/validation team in the headquarters to validate and certify OEM’s telematics system

  • Be the Window for telematics product btw Customer and CMI corporate.

  • Introduce technical requirements of Cummins' digital products (remote diagnostics, over-the-air update, high resolution data acquisition, etc.,) to OEMs in Korea

  • Train service team to be familiar with connected car products and improve productivity by data-driven service.

  • Investigate voice of customers (internal /external users) after the digital products are launched

  • Evaluate OEM requirements with product owner team in the headquarter.

  • Provide technical support to an account team to sign up agreements related to connected car

  • Report status of digital products integration projects to a corporate account team

  • Analyze vehicles data to derive insights for service and marketing team

  • Engineering research and benchmarking of competitor’s product

  • Program management aligned with account team.

  • Optimize engine performance for OEM vehicles (called applications) by tuning gains of PID controllers

  • Diagnosing and analyzing error codes from Motor/Inverter system

  • Discuss related solutions with headquarters engineers and support customers in Korea

  • Perform simple fail-safe tasks at site

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor's degree of electronics engineering / Mechatronics or computer science

  • Minimum 4 years in relevant field (construction equipment or automotive industry preferred, at least Tier-1 supplier)

  • Fluent in English and Korean to communicate with corporate team and customers

  • Entry level Python or R programming for data analysis and test automation

  • Project management and effective communication

  • Problem solving

  • Project management in automotive industry

  • Tools

  • Postman

  • AWS (Amazon Web Service) - CloudWatch, S3
