Cummins Korea was established in 1991 solely thanks to the investment of Cummins, Inc. Cummins has supplied engines to STX Corp. since 1981 under an engine assembly production license contract. In 1988, it became the first company in Korea to supply engines to construction equipment manufacturers. With the long history of supplying marine engines, Cummins has played a significant role in the development of large high-performing vessels and the modernization of fishing vessel equipment as well.

Cummins provides engines for large trucks, buses, and construction equipment like excavators and loaders. We supply these engines to OEM partners of construction equipment, commercial vehicle, and marine application manufacturers such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Zyle Daewoo Bus, Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company, and Doosan Infracore. We also provide aftermarket support and tech support for marine engine building.

The goal of Cummins Korea is to bring engine technology of Cummins to the diversifying and advancing equipment market so that the industry can promptly meet the needs of engine buyers. This is an exciting opportunity in Cheonan for Parts Sales Representative. Cummins Sales and Services Korea in Cheonan is where Parts Sales Representative to achieve parts sale to nationwide authorized dealers & affiliates. Manage dealers in specific area as a RSM (Regional Sales Manager)

Thinking beyond your desk includes:

1) Handling Orders

  • Deal with frequent daily inquiries by email, phone call e.g. supersession, price, lead time, availability, replacement parts number, other technical information

  • Follow up open order, lead time till them to be shipped in cooperation with an administrator & Logistics

  • Communicate with Logistics team to improve parts availability and reduce dead moving item

2) Sales & Marketing

  • Set and meet AOP target for dealers/affiliate as a RSM

  • Manage channel partners as a RSM

  • Evaluate dealers with Cummins Dealer EXCEL program

  • Make a dealership agreement with new candidate or renew it with existing dealers

  • Develop strategy through analysis of product, competitors and market trend

  • Visit dealers/affiliate in regular basis

  • Provide technical support relating to Parts business

  • Contribute to develop new bundle package and sales promotion strategy

  • Manage AR (Account Receivable) for dealers/affiliates plus

  • Credit limit, Past Due, Bad debt and Collateral etc.

  • Contribute Parts Training, Nationwide Dealer Conference etc.

  • Provide timely sales report / forecast – weekly sales update, monthly sales forecast, sales pipeline

  • Support customers’ promotional event or any related events in the region with brochures, banner, people participation in cooperation with customers, SVC Team

3) Safety

  • Take reasonable care to protect health, safety and wellbeing of self and others.

  • Timely reporting of incidents and injuries to immediate manager.

  • Maintain the orderliness of the workplace to remove hazards.

  • Report all hazards identified and apply immediate controls as necessary.

  • Comply with the requirements of Cummins Sales and Service Korea OHS Policies, Procedures and SWP’s.

  • Use personal protective equipment as prescribed by Cummins Sales and Service Korea.

  • Participate in communication and consultation processes, training and instruction, and the development and maintenance of a safe working environment.

Qualifications

< Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience>

  • 5-7 years’ experience in related field i.e. sales, dealer management

  • Prefer direct end user/account sales experience

  • Excellent communication skills & ability to form working relationships with customers, staff & work peers

  • Good command of Korean and English communication skills
