Cummins Korea was established in 1991 solely thanks to the investment of Cummins, Inc. Cummins has supplied engines to STX Corp. since 1981 under an engine assembly production license contract. In 1988, it became the first company in Korea to supply engines to construction equipment manufacturers. With the long history of supplying marine engines, Cummins has played a significant role in the development of large high-performing vessels and the modernization of fishing vessel equipment as well.

Cummins provides engines for large trucks, buses, and construction equipment like excavators and loaders. We supply these engines to OEM partners of construction equipment, commercial vehicle, and marine application manufacturers such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Zyle Daewoo Bus, Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company, and Doosan Infracore. We also provide aftermarket support and tech support for marine engine building.

The goal of Cummins Korea is to bring engine technology of Cummins to the diversifying and advancing equipment market so that the industry can promptly meet the needs of engine buyers. We also seek to provide help with the development of the industry, boost in exports, and prosperity of communities. All Cummins employees are working with great passion to realize this goal.

This is an exciting opportunity in Cheonan for EPC Project Sales. Cummins Sales and Services Korea in Cheonan is where EPC Project Sales cansetup & hit the Annual Operation Plan and manage in line with Sales recognition plan. Responsible for commercial plan and annual result by working with internal & external customers.

Thinking beyond your desk includes:

  • Define customer requirement and preparing commercial & technical bid to achieve best result.

  • Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve bidding related issues.

  • Monitors and communicates project status with internal resources, sub-contractors and customers.

  • Responsible for project budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.

  • Assists with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk like Legal review.

  • Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other experiences to enhance the success of the project.

  • Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Safety

  • Take reasonable care to protect health, safety and wellbeing of self and others.

  • Timely reporting of incidents and injuries to immediate manager.

  • Maintain the orderliness of the workplace to remove hazards.

  • Report all hazards identified and apply immediate controls as necessary.

  • Comply with the requirements of Cummins Sales and Service Korea OHS Policies, Procedures and SWP’s.

  • Use personal protective equipment as prescribed by Cummins Sales and Service Korea.

  • Participate in communication and consultation processes, training and instruction, and the development and maintenance of a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • University, or equivalent degree required.

  • Basic understanding of Genset & Plant project Customers.

  • Minimal level of relevant work more than 3 years’ experience required.

  • Base salary commensurate with experience plus performance based bonus.
